So what kind of needle is best?
We personally recommend Bamboo knitting needles, more
specifically
Clover Takumi Knitting needles.
The reason for Bamboo is because it is light weight, warms to the touch, and yet is still firm enough not to bend, most especially in the smaller sizes where plastic knitting needles tend to be too flexible. Bamboo needles have reportedly lessened the
occurrences of strain injuries associated with knitting, and from personal experience I can say that they have helped lessen Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain.
Why Clover? Well because quality is always best. There is a huge variety of quality in bamboo needles on the market, ranging from cheap, nasty ones that split easily, all the way up to the Clover needles which are smoothly polished and made from the strongest core bamboo.
